Howard Howie Rader’s (D. 1991) playing career spanned from 1944 to 1949. He played in the ABL with the Philadelphia Sphas in 1944-45, the NBL for the Tri-Cities Blackhawks in 1946-1948, and in the NBA with the Baltimore Bullets in 1948-49. The 1944-45 Sphas team won the ABL Championship.  During his first season in the NBL, he played alongside his brother Len Rader as members of the Tri-Cities Blackhawks. After his brother signed with the Hammond Calumet Buccaneers, Howie Rader stayed with the Blackhawks. In the BAA, he played for the Baltimore Bullets during the 1948–49 season. He attended Long Island University.
We offer a very scarce signed lined 3x5 card. In fact this is the first autograph we’ve ever seen. It comes out of a large basketball autograph collection.
