Beautiful flowing example of his auto, most are rather scribbled & disjointed
Stamped Nov 25, 1975 - unusual & special to know the exact time a signature was written

- J. Walter Kennedy passed away in 1977 at the age of just 65 & his auto is extremely difficult to find
- Also, a large percentage of the scarce autographs out there even are actually just fake secretarial signatures
Second Commissioner/President of the NBA from 1963-1975
Took the league from 9 teams, no TV contract, low attendance etc., to 18 teams, a lucrative TV contract, 200% boost in income & tripled attendance figures
Also served on the Hall of Fame Board of Trustees for 13 years, two of which he was President
He himself was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1981
J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award is presented every year to the NBA Coach/player for outstanding service to the community, as he was involved in many social causes from the Special Olympics to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society etc.
